NIGHTWISH - OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY (2 LP) - najlepszamuzyka.pl

I chose Nightwish's record “High over hills and far away, 2001”. I chose this record because the vocals are phenomenal and the variety of the instruments was terrific.

I would describe the songs as little novels with great stories.

The genre of the songs is rock and it sure does make you want to rock and roll. The disappearing and reappearing violin is just perfect, the faintly audible bass sets the tempo, the piano sets the stage and lastly the electric guitar as the star with it solos steal the stage.

The vocalist mesmerizes you with her high pitched and intriguing voice that you just want to hear more. In some songs there also is a deeper male voice that is not even closely as good as the female voice.

Most of the songs are covers but only the lyrics are same. The actual music of the cover songs is way different. It’s so much triumphant, better and it sounds like it has so much more content.

This rock music record is very well composed fantastic piece of art. I would rate this record on a scale from 1 to 10 as 9.

  1. This is a very good review! I like the way you describe the instruments and the vocalist. I'm not a fan of rock music but maybe I should try this record sometime.
