This is a review of the 2017 Ed Sheeran Divide album. Ed Sheeran is an English singer and songwriter. He is one of the most popular artists of the 10’s. I chose to review this album for I am familiar with it. The songs have kind of a poppy-country feeling to them. The guitar is playing a major role in most of the songs while Ed sings his beautiful vocals. 

Overall the music is well mixed and polished. Musically it consists of harmony more than melody. Most of the music is strumming chords with guitar. Still some nice phrases and melodies are included. They add more interest to the songs, so I would’ve preferred a bit more of them. There’s a nice rhythm in Shape of You. It’s quite a masterpiece with over 5 billion views on youtube.

Perfect is a romantic ballad. I like that it included a violin to add a more interesting sound. It fits quite well with the song’s genre. Lyrics of Perfect are beautiful and touching in my opinion.

The song Galway Girl is a story about a one-night stand. Personally it’s one of my favorite songs in the Album. I really like the energy of the build-up on the chorus.

On Happier a clean acoustic sound and Ed’s singing make it feel like a sincere song straight from a broken heart. Otherwise the chorus sounded kinda generic and boring.

Overall, I’m giving this album a 3,5/5 rating. You should definitely give it a listen. It’s a package filled with Ed's personal taste and storytelling.

    Ah, Ed is such a good singer and I also like his songs! This album is probably my favorite of him. The songs "Galway girl" and "Happier" are definitely my favorites.

    Great review! I also used to listen to this album and Ed a lot couple years ago. Really good and specific points made about many different songs so it's clear that you really did this with thought. You also give a good amount of general information about the artist. Enjoyed reading! :)

I’m reviewing Robin Packalens first record. Robin is Finnish pop-artist. He started making music in the year 2012 when he was only 13 years old. He blew up pretty soon and got a lot of attention especially from young girls. His artist name was just Robin. He made five albums and in the year 2017 he went for a break from music. He made a comeback in the year 2019 singing his new song “I’ll Be With You” in Emma-gaala. Before the break he sang in finnish but nowadays he sings in english and is trying to get international popularity. He also changed his artist name to Robin Packalen. I chose to review this record because I like it a lot and it has been very important to me because I listened to it almost every day when I was 8-9 years old. Sempiternal - screams for help

✰✰✰✰✰✰✰✰ The album Sempiternal (published in 2013)  is british rock band Bring Me the Horizon’s fourth album. Such as the previous albums, this one is very typical of the band’s style - the metalcore and post-hardcore genre keeps going just like it has done before. But unlike it’s ancestors, Sempiternal has few lighter and more emotional songs, such as the final track called “ Deathbeds ”, which is probably one of my favourite tracks on this album. It’s a great contrast to the band’s original style of making music and gives such an emotional and fragile ending to the whole album. According to Geniuslyrics (https://genius.com/ ) the whole album got it’s main themes from the band’s lead singer's Oliver Sykes's mental health problems and abuse of drugs and alcohol. There’s a ‘Fine Line’ Between Love and Hate

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to write a record review of Harry Styles’ second solo album called “Fine Line”.  Harry Edward Styles is a British singer and songwriter. His musical career began back in 2010 when he participated in a British music competition The X Factor. He used to be a part of a boyband One Direction until 2015 when the members decided to focus on their solo careers. Styles released his sophomore album “Fine Line”, a collection of 12 tracks and a mixture of genres such as pop and rock on 13th December 2019. It holds beautiful and emotional tracks not forgetting the compelling and upbeat ones.   It seems to me that the album is mainly about relationships and emotions. In my experience “Fine Line” which has the same name as the album itself, “Lights Up”, “Golden” and “To Be So Lonely” are the finest songs on the album.
