Panic! at the Disco’s Pray for the Wicked is the sixth studio album and it was released in June 22th 2018. The songs are written by the singer of the band Brendon Urie and some other helpers. The album has gotten pretty good reviews. It was the 10th best selling album in 2018 in the US. The songs “Hey Look Ma, I made it” and “High Hopes” I have also heard in the radio and they have risen higher compared to the other songs in the album.
I chose this album because it gives me a good mood and it’s mostly fast paced. The songs are happy and maybe a little brutal. The themes in this album are violent, but the vibes are happy and energetic. I love how the album gives you energy to do things, but they also have a deep meaning. My favourite song in the album is “King of the clouds”. It tells about getting high and on drugs, but it has a happy feeling and mood.
The genre of this album is pop rock. The album's last song “Dying in LA” doesn’t follow this album's genre fully because it has more of a sadder and just pop like genre. Compared to the band’s albums before this one’s genres and flows don't change that much.
In the songs they have used many different instruments. There are classic music instruments like violins cellos. It also has rock and pop song’s instruments. They together make the album modern and diverse.
I would rate this album on a scale 1 to 10 is about 9. I feel like this album might be missing something, but generally it’s good. The singer's voice fits the songs perfectly although his voice is pretty various. I especially love the album’s happiness and rhythm.
